Many of you mentioned that you are planning on ordering necklaces for Christmas gifts as soon as you think of what you want. I want to make a recommendation: Put your orders in sooner than later. I have 2 craft fairs coming up, in which I will need hundreds of necklaces made up. The point is: I am going to be a very busy person in the next couple months, so plan ahead and order today! Another reason to order soon: starting 10/1/09 my prices will be going up to $18 for the Large Pendants (About an inch long) and $15 for the Small Pendants (About 3/4 inch long). I wanted to say thanks to everyone who has bought a necklace from me already! I started almost exactly a month ago, and I have already sold over 90 necklaces! Have a wonderful day!

Ugandan Boy II in his new home.
The wonderful couple who bought "Ugandan Boy II" were kind enough to provide a picture of the painting in his new home. Just thought I would share.
The Vintage Emporium
If you live in the Long Beach area, I would recommend stopping by The Vintage Emporium. [3423 Orange Ave. Long Beach, CA 90807]. If you are looking for vintage jewelry, 50's hats and purses, beautiful hand-knit beanies, pottery, unique tablecloths, or even an shabby chic armoire, The Vintage Emporium is the place to shop. Many people go in just to visit with the owner, Julie, and leave with a truck full of treasures. Not only is Julie a savvy business owner in California Heights, but she is a sweet person with a heart of gold. She has a heart for helping promote the local artist, and more than once has displayed (and sold) some of my crafts. In fact, you can see my hand painted necklaces currently hanging in her shop. I can't recommend her (or her store) highly enough, and I hope you all wander in there and find that special piece.

Twitter.
Well, I don't know why but I have given in to twitter. Maybe it's because I enjoy alerting my followers to my every move. Maybe it's because I needed another excuse to stare at the computer screen. Maybe it's so I can stalk others with ease. It could be a little of all these things, but I know it is mostly because I couldn't resist that little bird on their logo.

Another Ugandan Boy
When my friend Rebecca Lehart returned from Africa, so many of her photos inspired me to paint. She is a wonderful photographer. Seriously, she should work for National Geographic.
Here is another painting I finished today.
